Fidelity
Fidelity is not valuable in itself but gains its value is its object. Faithfulness to evil, to small things(pettiness) to hadreds or angers (resentment)are not virtues. It is only a virtue if the object holds value, is good or noble. Fidelity should be directed only towards worthy objects and in proportion to to their worth.( Comte-Sponville 1996, page 20-29)
Faithfulness to love one forever does not mean that one will love one forever since love is a feeling. It is rather a committment to be faithful to the love that we once held
